CR Founder, John Baker,
states that CR’s purpose is to provide fellowship and, “celebrate
God's healing power in our lives through the ‘8 Recovery Principles,’
(based on the Beatitudes, found in Matthew 5: 3 – 10). By
working and applying these Biblical principles, we begin to grow
spiritually. We become free from our addictive, compulsive and dysfunctional
behaviors. This freedom creates peace, serenity, joy and, most importantly,
a stronger personal relationship with God and others.”

The
Road to Recovery
Lenten Sermon Series
Everybody
is in need of some type of recovery.
That may seem like a radical statement, but when you stop
to think about it, it is truth.
Are there
any of us that cannot name some hurt, some habit, some hang-up
that is resulting in problems in daily life?
Are there
any of us who has not caused pain to others? Anyone who has
not felt that they have failed themselves…failed God?
We all
need recovery from the poor choices we’ve made or the
negative circumstances we find ourselves in.
The great
news is, that is exactly why Jesus Christ came into this world:
to bring us the joy and freedom that comes through His forgiving,
healing, life-changing grace.
